Don worked with me for years at the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC). He was a hard worker, kind, and thoughtful. I am sorry for your loss. I would have been at his service except I was in the hospital at that time.

My Grandfather Donald G. Matthews was and always will be my inspiration ,my best friend and my hero. Not many people have a chance or are blessed to be with there grandfather this and thank God for that. He was always there to help me guide me and inspire me to do better . So grandfather I will always love you forever until we meet again and enjoy all of eternity with your family up in Heaven and Grandma. Love your Grandson/son James

my grandfather was also a father to me my best friend he was my best friend he always held my hand he always held my hand and said you're my baby girl forever be in my heart. I'll miss you dearly always. I hope you have that new body. I'll cherish every moment that I've ever had with you what is I miss you and pray that I will see you again amen love . The memory I have of pop is where he accepted me into his family with open arms and called me his granddaughter before me and James ever got married. I will miss you so much pop and love you lots I know you will be watching over us every single day & minute. RIP MY HANDSOME ANGEL
