Mom, I only wish you were here. I wish you could hear me when I talk to you, All the things you wanted me to learn to bake and to appreciate vintage items. I know do with pleasure. Some time I for a split second. I go to call you to tell you something funny that happened. To get advice on things that even now I don't understand, You taught me a lot and I know somewhere in this tired old brain its there and I find those answers. I felt blessed that we all were with you everyday and you weren't alone. When you woke up and called for me and knew me and talked to me..it saved my life. They said you wouldn't wake up but they didn't know that when one of your kids needed you desperately you would wake up just for that brief time to say goodbye and hug me. I love you momma with all my heart.

Velma and I shared many evenings playing board games, watching movies and keeping each other in stitches over our rambling on about our daily lives. She kept me together for so many reasons and taught me alot about gardening and baking, which the 2 she was very good at. She loved her family and she will be missed by so many. God bless you Velma Thompson.
