Obituary of James Emmett Williams

James Emmett Williams, 69, of Prince George passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017. He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Johnson Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Williams Hearington and husband, Joe; his son, Jay Williams; grandchildren, Maelee Hearington, Emma Hearington, Brooke Pritchett; great grandchild, Briley; father, James Hargrave Williams; sister, Patsy Williams Giaras and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. James was raised in Prince George and worked at his father's business for a majority of his life and was his father's caregiver until unable to do so due to his own illness. Jimmy was an avid motor sports enthusiast and an accomplished flat track motorcycle racer for numerous years. The family will receive friends on Monday July 31, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N 6th Ave in the city of Hopewell. His graveside ceremony will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Rd. Chester VA 23836. Final rest will follow in the cemetery.
