Obituary of O'niandra Alexus Ivey

O’niandra "Oni" Alexus Ivey, 22, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, in Virginia Beach. Born in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of James Lamont Jennings and Valerie Morrison Jennings. Oni is survived by her wife, Kayli Ivey; mothers-in-law, Jennifer Ivey and Melissa Meyer; grandmother-in-law, Brenda Jarvis; brothers-in-law, Kyle Crews, Brandon, Alex, and Colin Lutterloah; father, James L. Jennings; mother, Valerie M. Jennings; two brothers, Adrian Morrison and Adayre Morrison (Alexis Steptoe); one nephew, Nolan Morrison; maternal grandparents, Queen Morrison and Thomas Morrison; four loving dogs, Eris, Ares, Penny, and Riley; spunky cat, Alex; Godparents; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a family of friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Theodore Neal and Maggie Neal. Oni was an active member of the Virginia Air National Guard. She was a medical professional, pursuing her career in the nursing field to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Oni had a passion for caring for others and brightening their days. The family will receive family and friends for a celebration of life, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Bethel Manor Chapel, 1793 First Street, Hampton, VA 23665, with the service starting at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Oni’s name to the Human Rights Campaign through their website at hrc.org
