Obituary of Tammy Jenkins Vaughan
On Friday, October 1, 2021, Tammy Jenkins Vaughan, loving fiancé and mother of seven, went to be with the Lord, at the age of 57. Tammy was born on May 14, 1964 and grew up in the Petersburg Dinwiddie area. Later in life she moved to Carson and then resided in Prince George.
Tammy had a spiritual connection to her Native American heritage, as it showed through her deep love for nature and its value here on Earth. Her love for her family and children was undeniable. She was well known for her infectious smile, her kind heart and her ability to light up any room. She had a free spirit and loved to sing country music. Tammy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Eva W. Davis; father, Lewis A. Jenkins, Sr. and her daughter, Lynn Renee Vaughan. She is survived by her mother, Eva J. Jenkins; her fiancé, Robert E. Byrum, Jr.; her children Tammie L. Vaughan, Heather R. Green, Brandon E. Byrum, Cole E. Byrum, Savannah N. Byrum, Cheyenne D. Byrum; her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Cierra, TyQuan, Kameron, MaKiara, DaMarcus, Ayden, Natalie, Bentley, Arabella, Phoenix and Oakley and her siblings, Crystal Hatchet, Lewis Jenkins, Jr., Judy Wells and Virginie Jenkins.
A Memorial Service will be held, Friday October 8, 2021 at 4pm at Salem United Methodist Church, 19312 Templeton Road, Carson, VA 23830. Officiating is Reverend M. Bingham.
