Obituary of Theodore Jack Buffo

The family of Theodore Jack Buffo (affectionally know as “Ted”) announces with great sorrow his passing on April 28, 2021 in his 62nd year. This gentle, loving, caring, and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be greatly missed by his wife and friend of 18 years, Melody (Wilson). Ted was as a lifelong resident of Hopewell, Virginia, and a graduate of HHS Class of 1977. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bartolomeo M. Buffo and Josephine Mae Folkes Buffo. He will be sadly missed by his Godfather “Uncle Angelo”, numerous cousins, and his Randolph Market family and friends. For the past 23 years, Ted was employed by Randolph Market greeting customers by their names and bagging their groceries with a smile and a compliment. Ted was an avid fan of HHS Blue Devils, Virginia Tech (Football), Boston Red Soxs, and Tom Brady. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Sharon and Chris Neal for their caring and unconditional love for Ted. The family also thanks all the healthcare professionals for their great care and comfort they provided, as well as all his community family who provided monetary donations, meals, and spiritual support. Ted will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, gentle eyes, and caring heart. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life. A date for memorializing Ted’s life will be announced later.
