Obituary of Jean Summerville Mazzei

Jean Summerville Mazzei, 86, of Hopewell passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Mazzei was a member of the Women of the Moose, former owner of Mazzei's Duplex Market and a member of St. James Catholic Church. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Pasquale "Pat" Mazzei, Sr., brother, Billy MacFadyen and a sister, Nina Colburn. She is survived by two sons, Francis Mazzei and his wife Terra, Pasquale Mazzei and his wife Mary, a daughter, Susie Bell and her husband, Mike, thirteen grandchildren, Shay, Shasta, Pasquale, Anna, Frankie, Belinda, Angelo, Victor, Jason, Ashley, Jessica, Willie and Nina, sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary McPhearson and Isobel Jones, also several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Frank Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
