Obituary of Mary Altman Cunningham

Mary Altman Cunningham, 94, of Chester went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Warren Cunningham; her brother, J.D. Altman and her sister, Louise Gertrude Altman. Mary is survived by her son, Robert Cunningham and wife, Mojdeh Karimi and the Lanning family of Hopewell. She was a longtime member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church and was loved by all who knew her, especially her family. Mary was an exceptional animal lover, willing to adopt strays in need of love and a good home. The family will received friends at on January 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. Her funeral ceremony will be on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Final rest will conclude in Bermuda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hopewell Humane Society 3412 Oaklawn Blvd, Hopewell, VA 23860.
