Obituary of Frank Solesbee
Franklin Eugene Solesbee, 76, of Prince George passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was the son of the late Eugene and Elizabeth Glass Solesbee and was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Cabaniss, Lois Goodwin, Shirley Wellington and brother, James "Butch" Solesbee. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sarah Ellis Solesbee; his son, Frank Solesbee, Jr.; his daughter, Tara Foster (Kevin); grandchildren, David Schulte, Rebecca Noffke, Sydney Solesbee, Alora Solesbee, Kevin Foster II, Madison Foster; great grandchild, Rowan Sapp; sisters, Mary Browder (Lewis "Oochie), Kay Almarode and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Frank was a longtime member of the Hopewell Optimist Club, Prince George Ruritan Club, Hopewell Moose and retired from Phillip Morris - Park 500. He supported Prince George Volunteer Fire Dept. Co. 1 as the founding member of the "Five Bros". Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, but truly cherished his time with his grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave in Hopewell. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Merchants Hope Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to either The Children's Cancer Fund through the Hopewell Optimist Club or Prince George Volunteer Fire Dept. Co. 1, P.O.
