Obituary of Loretta Porter Eubank
Loretta Porter Eubank, age 78 of Hopewell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 11, 2013. She was born September 28, 1934 in Tomahawk, KY and moved to Hopewell, VA in the 1950's. She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Eubank, they had been married for over forty five years; her parents, Samuel and Nora Porter; brothers; Leonard and Wetsel Porter and sister, Leona Stringham. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Garrett and her husband, Roger of Lynchburg, VA and Debra Crum of Fort Gay, WV; her sister and best friend, Yvonne Gaylor, also of Hopewell. She is blessed with nine grandchildren, Tiffany Tomlinson and her husband Jason, Nathanael Garrett and his wife, Debbie, Isaiah Garrett and his wife Beka, Tabitha Smith and her husband, Norm, Israel Garrett, Tasha Garrett, Crystal Moore, Jonathan Moore and Vanessa Journey and her husband, Gerald. God further blessed her with thirteen great grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Ariel Tomlinson, Caden Tomlinson, Luke Garrett, Leia Garrett, Logan Garrett, Elaina Garrett, Brooklyn Garrett, Toby Garrett, J.J. Stith, Carina Moore, Jasmine Moore and Clayton Moore, seven nephews, six nieces, brothers-in-law, Eddie Stringham and Brantley Eubank and his wife, Barbara and son, Alan, sister-in-law, Willa Porter, Jean Christopher and Caroline Christianson, niece-in-law, Carol Christopher and her daughter, Summer, niece-in-law, Connie Sylvester and her husband, Rocky. There will be a graveside service with family and close friends on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA. Her grandson, Pastor Nate Garrett of The Bridge Church, Troutman, NC will be officiating the ceremony to celebrate the life of Loretta Porter Eubank. We have all been blessed to have had her in our lives. Her reward's in Heaven will be many, for she was a loving and generous person, who tried to meet every ones needs. Her greatest desire was for everyone to know Christ as their Savior. Special thanks to those who helped her during her last days. Especially, Dr. Ojediron and Crater Community Hospice.
