John and I were stationed in SD aboard the USS Durham. I tried to contact him a few years ago but I did not hear back. I remember he and I would go and play hoops in Mission beach. He drove a sweet Lincoln. I am sad to hear of his passing. I remember him as a 19 year old BT. We had some good times together. I am sorry for your loss.

Betty, we are so very sorry for your loss and John will be greatly missed. When we first moved to the neighborhood, he was one of the first that introduced himself. He was always ready to lend a helping hand( which meant a lot to us). My husband and I will greatly miss seeing and talking with him, but most of all
his kind heart.
