Obituary of Frank Riley Baker

BAKER, Frank Riley, BCM Retired USN, 101, of Wakefield went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, October 17, 2015. He is reunited in death with his loving wife of 72 years, Mary Elizabeth Hall Baker. Frank is survived by his sons, Dr. F. Russell Baker (Anita), Robert Richard Baker (Janice), Dennis Hall Baker (Amelia); his daughters, Nancy Boyd Baker Ninio (James) and Jane Baker Trant; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of the family. Frank was a WWII retiree from the US Navy after 23 years and was also member of DuPont Masons for over 50 years, Martha Chapter # 7 Eastern Star in Reno, NV for over 50 years, The Petersburg Union Royal Arch Chapter No. 7 for over 50 years and a Deacon Emeritus of Powers Memorial Church for over 50 years. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Powers Memorial Church, 2807 Jackson Street, Hopewell VA 23860. His funeral celebration will be at the church at 2 p.m. with Dr. F. Russell Baker and Dr. Breckenridge officiating. Final rest will be in Blandford Cemetery with full military honors.
