Obituary of Loren William Lorentzen
Loren William Lorentzen, 95, of Prince George, Va., went home to be with his Lord September 5, 2012, with friends and family at his side. He was born August 17, 1917 in St. Catherine's, Ontario Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Jeine E. Lorentzen and a brother, Al Lorentzen. He leaves a loving and devoted wife Doris Lorentzen and a daughter, Linda and husband Calvin Mays; two grandsons, Robert and Kenneth Revis, of Danville, Va.; Eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Lorentzen, and one sister, Vern Black; and two nephews. He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant Major and served in WWII and the Korean War, recipient of the Bronze Star. Also was in Civil Service at Fort Lee. His hobbies were baseball and bowling.
The family will receive friends 12:30 PM, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home, Gould Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Roger Dean of New Jerusalem Fellowship Church, Prince George, Va. officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Bermuda Memorial Gardens, Enon, Va.
