Obituary of Becky Jo Salisbury
After over two decades of suffering with a heart condition, today December 28, 2013, Becky Frazier Salisbury went home to be with our Lord. Becky was 59 years old and was a resident of Hopewell. She grew up in Prince George County, where she was a majorette with the Prince George Royal Band and marched with them in the 1969 Tournament of Roses Parade. She graduated from Hopewell High school in 1972 and lived many years in Chester. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 637 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 146. Becky is the wife of Kent Salisbury. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws: Dustin and Jennifer Durham, and Jonathan and Erin Denning, and grandchildren, Jesse Powell, and Braden and Marley Denning. She is also survived by her mother, Charlotte Andrews and her step-father, Ray Fleetwood, a sister, Bonnie Barbini and a brother, Marshall Andrews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas C. Frazier, and father, William M. (Bill) Andrews, and her grandparents, Charlie and Thelma Hughes. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 2901 Norfolk Street, Hopewell, VA. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church.
