Obituary of Melvin M. Moore

Melvin Morgan Moore, 83, of Hopewell passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his home. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby S. Moore, sister, Marie Moore Lacey, two brothers, Thomas H. Moore, Jr. and Percy E. Moore. Melvin was retired from Honeywell as a machine operator and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He is survived by four step-sons, Roy Jack, William D., Arnold and Joe Sexton, a sister, Phyllis Moore Lester, two brothers, Ralph W. and James A. Moore, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a very close friend, Sandy Walter. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Memorial Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA.
