Obituary of Billy Eugene Bailey

Billy Eugene Bailey, TSgt Retired USAF, 83, of Chester, passed away on Friday July 31, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas R. and Mary Vann Tysinger Bailey and his loving wife Gertrude. Billy served in the USAF as a Radar Operator from 1950 until 1975 retiring with the rank of TSgt after 22 years 10 months of Honorable service to his country. He saw service in Korea and Vietnam wars. He is survived by 3 daughters, 1 son, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 great-great grandchild, 2 sisters, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friend from 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday August 6, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home in Hopewell, graveside services will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery Amelia Virginia on Friday August 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM.
